Now, we will compare the differences for you according to our years experience:

Air shower also called air shower room, air shower door, air shower machine, dust bathroom or air disinfecting machine and so on. It consist of fans, high-efficiency filter, control circuits, boxes and other large components. Air shower is a necessary purification machine at the entrance of clean room. The primary function of it is to remove the dusty on the human body through blowing. Most of the dusty can be removed if the wind power is strong enough. Of course it is just one of the functions of air shower;

The most important function of air shower is to be a barrier between clean and non clean room. The primary difference between buffer chamber and airlock chamber are the functions of purification, filter and blowing.

Buffer chamber: The stucture of it is roughly the same as the air shower. The first is the module of the surface and inside box, size and space. Compare with air shower, the function of shower is removed, so that the primary control system, filter and draught fan of air shower. The primary feature of it is equiped with electronic interlock, the air pressure increase gradually when the staff and material enter from non clean area to clean area. There are two functions of Buffer chamber: the first is to prevent the airflow from non clean area entering clean area, a buffer chamber greatly avoid the possible of it.
The second is that there is a procedure of self-purification when staff or material enter from non clean area to clean area(the primary is material), which avoid pollution.

The functions of airlock chamber: It is set for keeping the air cleanliness indoor and positive pressure control, which often set between two different clean areas or clean area and non clean area.

To avoid interspersed infections between different environments, the air pressure of every function room is negative. There are two doors of airlock chamber that can not be opened at the same time, which seperate the air from differernt clean environments and avoid pollution. The airlock chamber can be divided into air supply and no air supply. All of the airlock chamber of clean room which require strictly have equiped purified air conditioning.

The differences between airlock chamber and buffer chamber:

Similarities: Both of them are set for seperating two areas, equiped blowing-in and out system. Their doors can interlock and can’t be opened at the same time. Both of them equip the function of self-purification.

Differences: Airlock chamber usually seperates two different clean areas. It is negative pressure on both areas. The primary function of it is to avoid interspersed pollution between two clean area, which is two-way.

Buffer chamber is set between non clean area and clean area. It is positive pressure to non pressure area and negative pressure to clean area. The primary function of it is to avoid the pollution from non clean area to clean area, which is one-way.
